Moxy Amiens

Rooms: typical modern large hotel with basics; not quite a 'Mars habitat', more like a large version of a cruise ship cabin. Its all there. Location: adjacent to Amiens station and excellent as a stopover base for train travel to Paris/Lille. Breakfast: could be better. Only scrambled eggs and sausages but at least it was not just croissants and bread.

Breakfast was/is super good for its price. Moxy is a nice concept. Lot of value. The focus on having to play feels a bit dated, but it's all good. And what does 'dated' mean anyhow? Lets not get jaded/act blasé. For others it will be super surprising and fun. Most important is that the place feels friendly and hospitable, with spots where you can work, read, relax etc. That's an achievement.

The room was of a reasonable size and the bathroom good too with plenty of space to put things! The bed was comfortable, the breakfasts were good and the staff friendly and helpful. Parking is "next door" in two public underground car parks either side of the hotel. The location of the railway station was of some concern when we booked (noise?) but Amiens appears to be the end of the line, there was no noise and the close location of the station is a real plus. If you had already bought your ticket (note the ticket machines are only in French) you could could be standing on the station heading for Paris (for example) 5 minutes after closing your hotel room door. All in all excellent value for money.

Great facilities, very clean, good breakfast

It was a fantastic experience. The location was extremely convenient, as it was situated near the Amiens rail station and had a back gate entrance, which saved me a lot of time and hassle. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, with a large and clean bathroom that even had conditioner provided. The smart TV in the room was a great addition and allowed me to watch YouTube, while also providing useful information about the city's attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The lobby and restaurant of the hotel were both stylish and comfortable, making for a pleasant atmosphere to relax in. While the breakfast was good overall, I wasn't a fan of the cold cut selection. However, the freshly squeezed orange juice was a definite highlight and really hit the spot. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Amiens. The location, amenities, and friendly staff make it a great choice for any traveller. The stay was much much better than in Paris.
